Under this prism, in 2010 the European Union promoted the Permanent Committee for Operational Cooperation in the field of Internal Security. COSI is an instance for coordination, which develops and implements common strategies among member countries and ensures the effectiveness of joint operations in matters of police, customs, border and judicial cooperation. That is why it is the ideal body to guarantee coherence in the actions of agencies such as EUROPOL, FRONTEX and EUROJUST. To support its action at a strategic level, COSI has tools such as SOCTA, which offers a periodic analysis of the main threats to the European Union in the area of serious crime and organized crime. Coordination, respecting the sovereignty of each country, for effective cooperation between countries and in favor of a safer Europe.
