Launching of bi-regional operational working group to fight drug trafficking

The objective of the bi-regional Operational Working Group for the fight against drug trafficking will be to organize joint activities at the operational level to tackle drug trafficking between the two regions. The OWG is expected to strengthen regional and bi-regional cooperation structures in synergy with existing programs, institutions and initiatives and to develop bi-regional operational cooperation in the fight against drug trafficking to support countries in dismantling large transnational criminal groups specializing in drug trafficking.
