The exploitation of criminal intelligence to fight major criminal groups

To confront criminal groups, the security forces adopt stricter policies of repression, sometimes leading to mass imprisonment and causing these groups to establish themselves in neighboring countries to avoid repression. This is why it is imperative that there be a joint response and strategy by the countries. In addition, it is also important that security forces cooperate closely with the prison system. To this end, a European expert in criminal intelligence will draft a guide of good practices to serve as a basis for Latin American institutions. All this will be analyzed in a virtual meeting with representatives of the police and penitentiary systems of the partner countries.

Some of the objectives of the meeting are:

To strengthen the exchange of police and prison information and investigation methods in cases of major trafficking
Development of common guidelines among the countries that make up the working group
