New cycle of Justice shared between Latin America and the European Union
High-level representatives from Latin America meet with European institutions in Brussels to learn how they work and to formalise the Shared Justice Policy Cycle.
The Shared Justice Policy Cycle between Latin America and the European Union aims to generate a recognisable justice system to facilitate judicial cooperation between the two regions. The main regional justice institutions in Latin America (AIAMP, COMJIB and the Ibero-American Judicial Summit) have signed the declaration that opens this new stage of collaboration whose objective is the definition of common strategies in the field of criminal justice and their translation into concrete measures. Measures based on common standards that promote the effectiveness of the investigation and prosecution of the main forms of organised crime in order to promote fairer and more peaceful societies.
