The Italo-Latin American Institute (IILA) is an International Organization with headquarters in Rome, of which Italy and the twenty Latin American Republics are members. Its main objective is the development and coordination of activities and initiatives of cooperation between the members in the economic, social, cultural and technical-scientific fields.

The Camões Institute is a public institute with its own administrative and financial autonomy. It aims to achieve excellence in all aspects related to coordination of Portuguese foreign policy in the fields of international cooperation and the promotion of the Portuguese language and culture.
